The Music of "Stranger Things" + Spektral Quartet + Late Night Drinks
Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein will perform the music of "Stranger Things" at the Kennedy Center, featuring a tribute to Jóhann Jóhannsson with the Spektral Quartet, UChicago's ensemble-in-residence.
Composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein, known for their pioneering score to the acclaimed series "Stranger Things," make their Kennedy Center debut showcasing their lush, retro-leaning sounds. Complementing their spellbinding analogue world is a tribute to the soulful music of Jóhann Jóhannsson, the famed Icelandic composer who passed suddenly at the height of his influence in both film and concert spheres. The Spektral Quartet, UChicago's ensemble-in-residence since 2012, will perform.
Whether you are a "Stranger Things" fan, a film music aficionado or want to see Grammy-nominated, UChicago-affiliated musicians here in DC, join a group of alums for this unique performance! A group will head to a nearby bar for drinks afterward (self-pay) at Tonic in Foggy Bottom.
